Loves: pulling up, trying to stand (and immediately sitting back down), figuring out how to cruise, being the fastest commando crawler I know, trying to drink out of cups (and succeeding in the bath tub a time or two when you are faster that me), and feeding yourself finger foods.
Dislikes: when people yell or talk loudly... you accidentally bit your Ree-Ree on the nose and she said "OWW!" and you immediately burst into tears. And we all immediately laughed. You have the best "sad face" ever. Really, it's irresistibly cute.
Clothes: Mostly 6-9 month or 9 month, still a few 3-6mo onesies or sleepers but they are getting too short, and mostly 6 month or 6-9 month pants. You mostly wear rompers or sleepers, so you don't wear pants or shorts often. Your true t-shirts are 9-12 months, 12 months, or 2T. Size 3 shoes. Size 3 diapers
I have NO idea how much you weigh. I will probably take you by clinic soon to weigh and measure you since we still have a month and a half until your next doctor's appointment. If I had to guess, I'd say 19 lbs.
Your hair is sandy brown with a LOT of red in it.
Most people think you look like your daddy and Jimmo (my dad). Your expressions are pretty dead on like mine though.
You are a good taster. You'll still eat anything. You had corn (off the cob), pieces of Sister Shubert rolls, cheerios, and fruit/oatmeal for Fourth of July lunch. You like to feed yourself when you can. You are starting to figure out straws (in adult cups), and you are pretty good with a sippy cup. You still nurse and have never had formula. You aren't a big fan of actually drinking juice, but you do like to chew on a bottle or sippy cup with juice in it. You take a bottle at 10, 1, and 4 at daycare and nurse at 6-7pm, once sometime before I go to bed, and around 6am. You don't like it when I have tried to space you out further than that.
You go to bed anywhere between 6-8pm based on our schedule and how tired you are, and you usually wake up on your own between 5:30 and 7am. You usually take a morning nap around 9 and an afternoon nap around 2. You occasionally take a cat nap at lunch or around 5, but not too often.
You finally got past this round of teething. It was NO fun for you. Your two bottom teeth are in, and we think you are starting again.
You still generally like to go to most people, but you are starting to look to see if your dad or I (or grandmother or KK) are around when someone has you. If we aren't around, you are fine. If we are around, you want to come back to us most of the time.
You pull up on EVERYTHING. You will usually hold on with one hand and have started cruising well. You also love for us to hold your hands and let you walk. You are commando crawling for speed, but you will do a regular crawl when you think no one is watching.
You will dive at people to give "sugar." It's slobbery and open-mouthed, but precious.
Your cousin Avery arrived a couple of weeks ago. You generally ignore him, but you have tried to pat him on the head or foot a few times. You occasionally get curious and will pull up on his baby seat to watch him. You also stayed at the hospital the entire time KK was in labor, and you were a CHAMP. You behaved better than most adults in that situation.
You use your baby potty every single time we put you on it. We do that about once a day, usually before your bath. We are not toilet training, but our theory is to expose you early to it so that you don't get "scared" later. We'll see how that goes. Haha.
You love playing in your baby play yard. You love your stack of rings (the classic Fisher Price version), your tambourine and maracas, and your bath toys. You also love banging on ANYTHING.
You are the best.
