5 Months

Loves:EATING! And baths, chewing on anything we'll let you chew on, playing in a bouncer or play seat/table, being naked, your feet, snuggles

Dislikes: nasal suctioning, not being able to always put your own pacifier in your mouth

Clothes: Mostly 3-6 mo and a few 6 or 9 mo. Still (barely) fit into some 0-3 month onsies, but have outgrown all 0-3 month sleepers. Size 2 shoes. Size 2 diapers.

You got 4 month shots on 3/14. You weighed 16 lb 2oz and were 25inches long. You have delicious little fat rolls, but are fairly athletically proportioned. Big head. VERY strong. You've been able to support your weight for a long time since you were tiny. I'm guessing you are 17 lbs or so now.

Hair is light brown with a very slight auburn tint in the sun. Your Eyes staying gunmetal gray/blue.

You are eating rice or oatmeal cereal daily. You've had bananas, prunes (they worked), and apples. I'm slowly introducing new foods, but you're not eating much of them yet. You are still otherwise breastfed.

You still wake up once or twice at night, but usually dreamfeed quickly and never really wake all the way up. With me working, you are flexible with your night routine. You've done nights with your Daddy, ReeRee and KK.

You do great at daycare. You love your teachers and like watching the bigger kids.

You love to "talk." You love to try out your voice and make high-pitched squeals, growls, and you occasionally sing yourself to sleep.

You are still a good sleeper at night. We're still easing into sleep training, but daycare is helping that immensely. We'll hardcore sleep train when I finish nightshift this month. It shouldn't be difficult because you can easily sleep 6-8 hours at a stretch.

You still love TV. You will kick back and watch it when you're tired. You also like to listen to people talk on the TV. You'll watch PBS kids on my iPad.

You'll sit in your high chair and watch me cook. You love your new (to you) jumperoo and play table.

Eating with you is like corralling a six-armed monkey. You want every cup, plate or utensil you see. We can hand you a cup or bottle and you try to drink out of them all.

You are VERY social and smile all the time. This amazes people. You only fuss if you're fighting sleep.

You will take a pacifier at day care to soothe you. Otherwise you'll suck on it for a minute then pull it out, turn it sideways and chew on it. Everything goes in your mouth.

You now can roll front to back and back to front. You also tripod sit for short periods of time and are definitely getting stronger. You like tummy time, but will roll over if we don't watch you.

You smile a lot and giggle when tickled. You are ticklish everywhere.

You will dive at people to give "sugar." It's slobbery and open-mouthed, but precious. You will also bury your head in my neck and nuzzle. You'll grab my face with both hands and grab my nose.

You like to box... You'll swat your toys, other kids (Leah!), and hands.

You're getting the hang of high-fiving and turning off light switches.

You are so FUN!
